We've successfully navigated our way to Easter and although we will be continuing with the principles of the recovery curriculum, our new topic is

ROMAN INVASION!!

The Romans are invading! Claudius has gathered his legionaries and is advancing on Britain!

But why!? How did the Romans change Britain? Why were the soldiers able to dominate?

But then why did they leave?

Our "Roman invasion" topic combines history and geography skills, in computing we'll develop our presentation and animation skills and in Literacy learn about non chronological reports, playscripts and poetry whilst in art we'll create Roman shields and mosaics.

We hope you're ready to travel back in time!

We are all very excited!

This term we will be focussing on our schools Recovery Curriculum

Our Recovery Curriculum aims to restore the mental health and rebuild the resilience of our pupils to allow them to become learners again by:

· Recognising the experiences had by all.

· Restoring trust and relationships with staff.

· Re-establishing friendships and social interactions.

· Regaining structure and routine.

· Rebuilding a sense of community.

· Regulating their emotions and managing behaviours.

· Re-engaging them in learning.

· Preparing them for transition.

· Explore and tune into individual needs, anxieties and worries which may have surfaced.
