Today we are looking at Fact or Opinion - so is it true or just something that someone thinks? Read the text carefully, highlighting tricky words or interesting points, then answer the questions. You can either read on screen and answer on a piece of paper or print out.
Mindfulness - Read these steps to colour mindfulness; then try some mindfulness colouring (see resources below)
Topic – SCIENCE - Mrs Nerg/ Mrs Gren - 7 Life Processes
Crack the code! - Can you find out what the aliens have written to the Plants Vs People Limited, can you find out what they want?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpZUCo_rKLc - Video on the seven life processes
Once you have seen this clip, use this knowledge and the powerpoint presentation to write an action and how is it relevant to plants?
For example: Movement. Your action could be dancing and it is relevant to plants because plants move towards sunlight. So, use an action that will make it memorable to keep the knowledge of the 7 life processes in your head.
Once you have gained knowledge on the seven life processes, you can grow the mysterious seed you collected yesterday! Are you going to place it in a light or dark place? In soil or on kitchen roll? Use all your plants knowledge to decide how and where you are going to grow your plant and over the topic, you should see changes to your plant. Be responsible and take ownership of looking after it as this information is crucial for Dr Frank Webster!
You will be writing your results over the next few days, as for now, we would like you to focus on just starting to grow the plants.
