Summer 2 - The Great Fire of London

During this history topic, we will be asking questions about what could have happened to start the fire.

We will put our detective hats on and investigate the cause, the people involved and the main factors involved in the fire.

We will find out about firefighting equipment and how the people ever got the fire out.

We will be debating whether Thomas Farriner should have been punished and reading Samuel Pepys diary, thinking about historical evidence and how we know what happened.

During DT we will be sawing wood to build our own Tudor houses by measuring, marking and sawing wood. We will also create some silhouette artwork based on the historical artefacts left from the fire.

In RE we will think about how we care for others and the world and why it matters.
