The 6 areas of provision are:
Skills and experiences are tailored to the age of the children with progression across the year groups. These experiences can come from stand alone forest school sessions or from a cross curricular approach making the most of outdoor learning opportunities and the benefits of sensory/concrete learning.
Along with an affinity for outdoor learning we offer forest school sessions to the children. We have two Level 3 Forest School Leader qualified members of staff, who also Outdoor Paediatric and Adult first aid as well as Food Hygiene certificates.
Forest school is a long-term, nature-based outdoor learning program that focuses on holistic development and growth in children. Children learn through playing in the mud and the hands-on forest school approach gives them plenty of opportunities to do just that. Children are encouraged to explore and discover whilst being supported to take risks. Forest school activities develop confidence, self-esteem, imagination and physical ability, builds problem-solving skills, independence, team work and resilience as they try things out.
