1. Watch the story video of Jim and the Beanstalk. You can pause the video at points to as your child questions about the story, to further their understanding and reasoning skills. For example, 'How do you think Jim was feeling when he saw the castle at the top of the beanstalk?' or 'What would you do if you were Jim?'.
2. Number hunt - hide numbers 1-10 or 1-20, written on paper around the house. Call out different numbers and your child has to find the numbers as quick as they can. Alternatively you could play number splat. Place the numbers on the floor and as you call out the numbers your child has to 'splat' the number with their hand as quick as they can.
