In Spring 2, the children will be exploring the outdoor environment and learning about a range of different minibeasts, including bees, caterpillars and butterflies, ladybirds, spiders and many more. They will be making observations within the outdoor environment, gaining valuable hand-on experience of the world around us.
We will also be learning about different plants and the children will have opportunities to plant seeds and help and watch them grow.
Throughout the topic, children will be immersed in a wide range of quality texts. Below are a few of the key texts we will be exploring:
At the end of the half term, we will be going on a school trip to Bluebell's Dairy Farm. On the day the children will have an abundance of opportunities to apply their new learning, exploring the nature trail, as well as visiting the farm animals. We cannot wait for the children to represent our school and demonstrate our learning attitude within the local community.
