This term, Year 3 and 4 will be learning all about the Ancient Egyptians as part of our history topic. Children will explore where and when the Egyptians lived, why the River Nile was so important, and what daily life was like for different people. We will learn about Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, mummification, pyramids, and beliefs about the afterlife. Pupils will also have the opportunity to examine artefacts, decode hieroglyphics, and compare life in Ancient Egypt to life today. We encourage parents to support learning at home by discussing what your child has learnt and reading related books or watching age-appropriate programmes together.
