Welcome to our wonderful Year 3 class.

Yet again, I have been amazed by my enthusiastic, responsible and reciprocal class.

I am so proud of all their achievements and the fantastic progress they have all made.

They all come to school every day in their ‘positive pants’ with the most amazing attitude to their learning. I am a very lucky teacher. Thank you Year 3.

Thank you to all the parents for supporting your child with their learning at home.

It really does make a big difference.

We are now officially rocks, soils and fossil experts and we even managed to solve a strange mystery of flying frogs and pigs!!

We will be starting our fourth topic after the February half term called:

'Plants versus people’

We will be learning about plants and what they need to survive.

We will be also set up our own company. This will give the children an insight into how companies are structured as they take on their roles in the company.

Our literacy will be focused on stories from the same author.

We will also be looking at how to structure writing biographies.

In numeracy, we will continue to focus on our times tables with TT Rockstars and we will also be focusing on statistics, length and perimeter and fractions.

Our Art and D.T will also be linked to the topic where we will be getting creative using water colours, sketch pencils, clay and even some cooking!!!

It is going to be another great topic! We are all very excited!

Whilst we are busy learning all about plants and our chosen author, we will also be getting ready to WOW you all with our Year 3 and 4 performance of 'Porridge'.

We will be performing two evening shows on:

Tuesday 26th March and Thursday 28th March.

More information about times and ticket availability to follow.

Parts have been given out and we have started to learn the songs. We will soon send you a list of costumes home that will need to be in school by Friday 15th March.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if we can help with anything.

Thank you.
