Mrs Heald's Class Newsletter

14.05.18- 18.05.18

Message from the teachers:

We are so proud of all of the children over the last couple of weeks. The Year 2 children have been completing some exciting quizzes with us and the Year 1 children have been taking part in learning about the 'British Values' with Miss Daley and the other year 1 children. The children have all been amazing, working respectfully with each other and members of staff.

We are very proud of them all.

This week’s learning:

We have been learning about Winnie the Witch during English over the last few weeks and she's been sending us  some maths challenges. The children will be learning about temperature, weight, rotation (quarter turn, half turn, three quarter turn, whole turn - clockwise and anti-clockwise) and counting patterns this week. A busy week but we cannot wait to help Winnie with her learning challenges.

This week’s learning:

The children have loved learning about Winnie the Witch, describing her, describing the setting and using the base story to create their own. This week we will also have a go at writing our common exception words to see which ones we need to continue to practise.   smiley

This week’s learning:

The children really enoyed learning about mammals last week. This week we will find out about reptiles. Do you know any reptiles? Do you know what the term reptiles mean?

The children will investigate and create art work by printing, rubbing and painting to create lizards and tortoises.

Our certificate winner this week is...
