It is very important that children are at school for the start of the day at 8.45am,

(Years 1 - 6). The school gates are opened at 8.40am.

An SLT member wil be on the gates and our Learning Mentor is on duty in the playground from 8.40am. The children will be greated either by their teacher or class TA in the playground and they can then go straight in to their classroom.

We strongly advise parents to ensure there is parental or adult supervision for children coming to and going home from school. Please inform us if someone different is collecting your child.

School finishes at 3.10pm (Years 1 - 6) and 3:10pm for Reception (FS2). The school gates open at 3.10pm to 3.30pm.

Foundation Stage 1 – Morning session is 8.55am to 11:55am. Afternoon session is 12:25pm - 3:25pm.

In the unlikely event that you arrive late for school (after 8.45am), please enter the school through the front door. It is essential that you inform the school office that your child has arrived. You will be asked for a reason for being late and then asked to sign your child in. For Health and Safety reasons it is essential that you follow these procedures.

The school will keep a record of incidents where parents/carers do not collect a child from school, are late in doing so for no acceptable reason, or where there is a repeat occurrence. Any child welfare concerns arising out of such incidents will be dealt with in accordance with the school’s child protection procedures. A full copy of our policy on dealing with children not collected at the end of the school day is available from the School Office.

Children in Year 5 and Year 6 may walk to and from school on their own if we have written consent from their parent or carer stating that they are happy for them to do so. All children that have this consent are added to an authorised list, so that teachers and other members of staff know they are able to walk home alone.
