The Circus

Come and join us for a fantastic learning journey about the circus! We will be learning about the wonderful world of entertainers such as; trapeze artists, ringmasters, acrobats and clowns. We will be looking at the history of the circus where it all began in Rome with Circus Maximus, through the ages of Philip Astley and finally onto the modern day circus. The children will enjoy circus activities such as; diablo tricks, juggling and scarf dancing. During this topic, we will be creating our own chariots (linked to Circus Maximus) as part of our Art and Design Technology lessons. The children will also have the opportunity to delve into Circus themed books during Shared Reading and Literacy lessons too.
