Our school meals are prepared on site in our modern school kitchen.
The current cost of a school meal is £2.10 per day. Please pay for meals online to avoid children bringing money into school. Click on the link below to make your online payments.
Meals can be paid for daily, weekly or termly. If you do wish to pay by cash or cheque please pay at the school office between 8.45am and 10am making cheques payable to 'Derby City Council'. Please ensure you pay on the day or in advance.
All children in Foundation Stage 2 and Key Stage 1 receive a school meal 'free of charge' through the government Universal Infant Free School Meal Scheme. Some children are eligible for Free School Meals. Please contact the school office on 01332 691351 for further information.
Children who do not want to have a school meal can bring a packed lunch. This should be sent in a sandwich box or container clearly named so they can be stored on special trolleys in school.
Due to the new guidelines on food allergies, we here at Homefields Primary School are striving to inform yourselves and your children of the foods and the allergens which they contain. We will inform children through a display showing them the allergens contained in that week’s food. For you, the parents we have created a guide for your information and hope that this will help you and your children make an informed decision.
Should your child be allergic to any of the items listed below then please contact the school who will in turn pass on the details to us in the kitchen.
